About Me
Hi, my name is Shanay,
I am an integrative therapist that works from the modalities of Person-Centred, Attachment theory and Cognitive behavioural therapy. This means I use a range of skills, techniques and interventions to provide you with a tailored approach to help facilitate you on your journey.
I am a registered member of the BACP, this means that I follow their codes of conduct, ethics and Professional standards. I began my therapeutic journey studying counselling and psychotherapy principles and practice joint honours with criminology. Following this I completed my MSc Intergrative counselling and Psychotherapy (PG cert/ PG Dip) with my dissertation focusing on the role of culture in shaping therapy - an understanding of the impact of socio-cultural factors within the therapeutic process.
As a therapist, I aim to provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment to facilitate your growth and development.
I have worked with people from all walks of life and aim to provide everyone with dignity, respect, time and the reassurance that you matter.

The initial consultation will be up to 30 minutes and is strictly confidential. It gives us the opportunity to meet each other, answer any questions, discuss what therapy may look like for you and see if we would be a good fit working together. This consultation is free as we will exploring what brings you to therapy and seeing if therapy with me is the right fit for you.
